PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said on Saturday that the government supported the federal government in its efforts to bring peace to Karachi.
However, he said that action against terrorists, target killers and land grabbers should be across the board, with all political forces cooperating in spreading peace throughout the city. He stated this while talking to the media after inaugurating construction work on a boundary wall of Bacha Khan Greater Complex in Mardan.
Teaching and management staff of all three educational institutions and the elite of the area were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister termed the establishment of Bacha Khan Greater Campus as a mega project which could take several years to complete, adding that a change of government should not hinder its completion as such projects were not owned by a particular political party. To a question about arrears of the hydel net profit, the chief minister said that he had talked to the prime minister in this regard and that the arrears of Rs 110 billion would be paid to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in cash and would not be adjusted against loans.
