Bilawal in China to lead PPP delegation at international conference
SHANGHAI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reached China to lead a PPP delegation at The International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) being held in Nanning from Sunday (Sept 4).
Objectives of the conference are to promote exchanges and cooperation between political parties from different countries in the area that subscribe to diverse ideologies.
It also aims at enhancing mutual understanding and trust among the Asian countries, promoting Asia’s regional cooperation through the unique role and channel of political parties, and to create an environment for sustained peace and shared prosperity in the region.
Bilawal spent a busy day in Shanghai with his delegation. He visited the famous Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre where he was briefed on the infrastructure projects being launched in Shanghai and the modern technology applied in urban planning of the city.
Bilawal also visited the Orient Pearl TV Tower along with his delegation. He was scheduled to leave for Nanning later in the day.
Bilawal is heading a five-member delegation, whose members include Barrister Syed Masood Kausar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor, Senator Jahangir Badar, General Secretary PPP, Raja Pervez Ashraf, former federal minister, and Hashaam Riaz Sheikh, Special Assistant to the PPP chairman. app
