‘Govt has taken steps to remove deprivation of Baloch people’
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the government has taken concrete steps to bring an end to sense of deprivation prevalent among the people of Balochistan that would lead to positive results.
Talking to Federal Minister and BNP (Awami) chief, Senator Mir Israrullah Zehri, over telephone on Saturday, the president said the PPP government took decisions in consultation with all the allied parties. He said the same was being done in the case of Balochistan and BNP (Awami) was taken on board on all important issues of the province.
The president also extended Eid greetings to Zehri and assured him of strengthening of cooperation between BNP and PPP in Balochistan. The president also exchanged views on compensation given to the people of Balochistan for the losses they suffered due to rains. He said the federal government would not leave the people of Balochistan alone during difficult times. He also referred to other steps being taken by the government for the development and prosperity of Balochistan. The president said the PPP government had given billions of rupees additional aid to the province. inp
