Seven arrested in LEAs search operation across Karachi
KARACHI: Law enforcing authorities (LEAs) search operation in different parts of the mega-metropolis continued, while 117 persons were taken into custody in the process besides seven persons including an activist of a political party were arrested at Landhi Sherpao Colony.On the other hand, police and special protection commandos conducted search operation in the residential buildings located near Radio Pakistan on M.A. Jinnah Road. House-to-house search operation ended with 113 persons taken into custody.
Moreover, Rangers conducted search operation at Mughal Hazara Colony in Gulbahar area, Landhi Sectors-1-D, 37-B besides Jalalabad of Nazimabad area.
Sources said that Rangers raiding Jackson of Kemari area took four suspects into custody.
Shah Faisal Colony police in their action arrested an alleged accused in the murder of two persons.
The law enforcing authorities raiding an office of a political party at Sherpao Colony in Landhi area arrested six suspects with their arms during the search operation.
Raids were also conducted in different parts of Shah Faisal Colony, Kemari and Landhi, while the Rangers cordoned off Singolane, Jhatpat Market and Gharibshah Road of Lyari area.
The families of the persons taken into custody in police operation on M. A. Jinnah Road staged protests against police highhandedness and misbehaving with even the housewives.
