Altaf distorted facts about Kargil episode, says Nisar

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday strongly reacted to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain’s press conference by calling it the “worst show of political jugglery” in which facts were deliberately distorted about Kargil episode.
Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and PML-N Deputy Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal called it “mere a wastage of time with nothing said on the real issues of the masses”, Nisar said that Altaf had made mockery of the people of Pakistan, as he found shortcomings in every political party of the country except the MQM. “One can just pray for peace in Karachi after watching this press conference,” the opposition leader remarked.
He also dubbed the press conference of the MQM chief as disorderly lacking the objective and said that those raising slogans for revolution didn’t even touched upon the real issues of the people of the country. He said that whole the nation wants the response against the Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s allegation, which he hurled at the MQM leadership instead of listening the songs of Altaf Hussain. He also called the press conference of the MQM chief below the standard of a political leader in which facts were distorted. Nisar also termed the finger pointing of the MQM chief on Jamaat-e-Islami for bloody incidents on May 12 and urged that Altaf Hussain should confess his mistake for joining hands with a military dictator for this bloodshed rather to accuse the others.
The opposition leader also came hard on the rulers for being silent spectators in the current scenario. “They are busy in their foreign tours instead of bringing the real facts before the nation,” Nisar added.
