Rain water continues to plague residents of Sindh

HYDERABAD: Following heavy rains, residents of Hyderabad are distressed because water has not been drained from several areas after two days, Geo News reported.

Residents of these areas have been forced to leave their homes and even the office of DG Health and the Technical College have been inundated.

Water has entered the Ratanabad village of Mirpur Khas and in protest people blocked the Mirpur Khas-Hyderabad highway. In Sanghar people have fled their homes due to the flood and four people were killed when the roof of a house collapsed.

Over 500 villages in Dadu have lost communication which has led to a shortage of food in the area. Educational institutions in the district remain closed because schools have been flooded.

The stagnant water has led to a rise in water borne diseases in Badin and hospitals are crowded with patients.
