BB was sceptical of EC independence: WikiLeaks
WASHINGTON: Slain former premiere Benazir Bhutto had expressed doubts over voters' list or the independence of the Election Commission, US diplomatic cables revealed.
According to the cables, Benazir Bhutto met the then US Ambassador to Pakistan Anne W Patterson at her residence in Islamabad. During the meeting, Benazir made it clear that she did not trust the voters' list or the independence of the Election Commission.
Cables also revealed that the slain former premiere had consensus with former president Pervez Musharraf over terrorism while both had difference over the issue of democracy and dictatorship.
