PPP will realise dream of Seraiki province: Gilani
* PM says people will reject those who are against creation of new province
MUZAFFARGARH: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will realise dream of Seraiki province.
Addressing a public gathering on Saturday after performing the groundbreaking ceremony of a multi-million housing project for flood-affected people, the prime minister reiterated creation of a new province for the people of southern Punjab, and added it would end their sense of deprivation. Gilani assured large gathering of people on the occasion that the new province would be a guarantee for their rights. The prime minister added that people would reject those who were against the creation of a new province.
The prime minister delivered his address in Seraiki language and said it was due to the demand of native people who were desirous of getting a separate province. During the ceremony, Gilani was informed that the New Muzaffargarh City Project would comprise 1,274 new homes to be built with the donations collected by people of Turkey for their flood-hit brethren in Pakistan. A 432-kanal piece of land has been allocated for the purpose in the city’s suburbs, he was told. appCourtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
