Altaf expresses sorrow over his remarks about ANP leadershipKARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain expressed his sorrow over his statement that Awami National Party (ANP) had accepted dollars from the United States. Addressing the head of ANP Asfandyar Wali, he said, “I had said that Asfandyar Wali had accepted dollars from the US but I had no proof for this. I take my words back and express my sorrow over the offence caused to the ANP leaders and workers. I want to end hostilities because the peace and stability needed by Pakistan at this juncture can be well appreciated by those who are giving sacrifices for the security and existence of the country.” staff report
