Pakistan has no contact with Haqqani network: FO
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has disputed claims that it has contacts with the Haqqani network, Geo News reported. The Foreign Office has stated that there was no proxy war being fought through the Haqqani network against the US.In a weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tehmina Janjua said Pakistan and the US wanted to continue their relationship of mutual trust.
Replying to a question about the presence of the Haqqani network in Pakistan, Janjua said the question was not within the parameters of the Foreign Office.
Speaking about the Clinton and Khar meeting in New York, Janjua said that both foreign ministers expressed the desire to work together and end differences.
