Hina Rabbani Khar meets Obama, wife
NEW YORK: Pakistan's Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar met with US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, Geo News reported.The meeting comes as US officials have accused Pakistan of fuelling terrorism in Afghanistan and the ISI backing the Haqqani network.
Earlier talking to Geo News Khar said: "We have also conveyed this to the United States, that you will lose an ally. You cannot afford to alienate Pakistan. You cannot afford to alienate the Pakistani people".
"If you are choosing to do so, and if they are choosing to do so, it will be at their own cost," she said.
"Anything which is said about an ally, about a partner publicly to recriminate it, to humiliate it, is not acceptable," she told the channel in New York.
