Munter and Bashir discuss Pak-US ties
ISLAMABAD: US ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter met Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir at the Foreign Ministry on Monday, Geo News reported. During the meeting Munter and Bashir discussed Pak-US ties.The meeting comes as ties between both countries are on a downward spiral following US accusations of Pakistan being involved with the Haqqani Network.
The US has called on Pakistan to sever ties with the network which it blames for the attack on its embassy in Kabul.
Pakistan has dismissed the US accusations and said these would only worsen the relationship between the two countries.
