FC given police authority in Balochistan
QUETTA: Balochistan government has given police powers to the Frontier Corps (FC) for two months, allowing the paramilitary force to conduct search operations and checking, Geo News reported.
Earlier, seven people were gunned down by unknown motorcyclists in an incident of target killing that took place this morning in Quetta's suburban town of Hazaar Ganji. The gunmen escaped from the scene after the incident.
The bodies were brought to Bolan medical center where their heirs and members of Hazara community protested against the incident. Later, angry protestors took to the streets in Faisal town, Raisani Street and other areas and opened fire which killed a policeman and another man and injured ten others.
Bodies and injured people have been shifted to BMC and CMH.
