Rs 3 billion to be given to Umerkot: Sindh CM

UMERKOT: Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Saturday said that the Sindh government would grant Rs 3 billion to Umerkot district under the special package.

Briefing the media following the meeting of Sindh Cabinet at Deputy Commissioner Office here on Saturday, the chief minister said that elected representatives from Umerkot would be given development schemes of worth Rs 28 crore.

Qaim Ali Shah said that 15 thousand trucks would also be given to the dwellers of Sindh from the subsidy of Rs 2 to 3 lacks.

During the cabinet meeting no MQM minister was present. The Chief Minister said that there are 40 ministers in Sindh, adding that the ministers are called where they are needed.
