Balochistan High Court Bar Association has filed the petition in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, heard by a three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan with Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Jawwad S Khwaja as members.

During today’s hearing, the Chief Justice inquired about the delegation of policing powers to the Frontier Corps (FC). He inquired what the police had been doing and why had the FC been delegated policing powers when there were already allegations against it.

Moreover, the Chief Justice said that smuggled cars were being used in Balochistan and that people were openly carrying arms.
