MQM, PML-N share similar views on national issues: DarISLAMABAD: A delegation of the MQM met with leaders from the PML-N at the Punjab house here.
The MQM delegation was led by Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri and Tahir Mashdi while the PML-N was represented by Ishaq Dar and Pervez Rasheed.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said the PML-N had been invited to Nine Zero. He said the purpose of the meeting was the well being of Pakistan and parties should work on a national agenda based on a national consensus.
PML-N leader Ishaq Dar said after meeting the MQM it felt like they were part of the opposition and their views were similar to that of his party on national issues. Dar added that PML-N President Nawaz Sharif had already spoken of a national charter which was a need for the country due to economic and security challenges.
Dar further said that it was the belief of the PML-N that the solution to the country’s problems was elections being called as soon as possible.
