PPP Parliamentary approves 4% increase in minority seats
ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee of the PPP has approved a four percent increase in minority seats for the national and provincial assemblies. It was also decided during the meeting that legislation would be enacted for the recovery of all pending electricity bills.
The meeting of the parliamentary committee was chaired by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and discussed the local government elections and the caretaker setup. Law Minister Farooq Naek briefed the meeting on legal matters.
Sourced added that it was decided that a meeting of the parliamentary party of allies will be held on Wednesday to expedite progress on pending issues.
