PPP, MQM reach consensus over local bodies system
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have reached a consensus over implementation of the local bodies system, here on Tuesday.
According to sources, after having consensus over the clauses of the new ordinance, the notification of Sindh Local Government Amendment Ordinance was likely to be issued today.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah held consultations with senior PPP leadership at the Chief Minister House, while Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ebad held talks with MQM leaders at Governor House.
