Heavy rains inundate low-lying areas

PESHAWAR/MULTAN/JACOBABAD: After the monsoon rains hit parts of country on Wendesday, several low-lying areas in Peshawar, Multan and Jacobabad were inundated by the rainwater while the weather turned pleasant, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, many districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa including Pehsawar received heavy rain at night that dropped the mercury level and turned the weather pleasant. The low-lying areas were inundated by the rainwater.

The late night downpour along with thunder in Sindh and Balochistan caused significant decrease in the heat that gave a relief to the residents.
