Only ruling parties to get benefit: PTI
Staff Report
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Faisal Wada has said that only ruling parties but not masses would be the beneficiaries of coming local bodies system in Sindh.
In a statement on Thursday, he said that only ruling partners were engaged in dialogue for their rule and shares in expected local bodies ordinance.
He termed the entire situation as ‘Kon Bane Ga Karore Pati’ (who will get share worth crores of rupees) game and said that ruling regime was busy in formulating the rules for their game, while ignoring the miseries of people.
He strictly criticised the government over its failure in safeguarding the lives and possessions of people, particularly in Karachi.
He said that though government partners desired for their shares in powers and funds as much as possible, none of them was ready to accept the failure of local bodies’ emergency plan, which was flushed only in a rain.
PTI spokesperson was of the view that local government system should be based on people’s will and requirements, instead of desires of the ruling party and its allies.
“Armed terrorists are ruling the metropolis. Dozens of precious and innocent lives fall prey to terrorism in routine, while the government was hatching conspiracies and introducing formulas to extend its tenure illogically,” he added. Wada asked masses to be ready for a tsunami that would flush out the entire corrupt political regime. He vowed that PTI would not only throw out the corrupt leaders, but also provide people with a sigh of relief and better standard of living.
