Information Ministry denies reports of secret fund
ISLAMABAD: A spokesman of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry on Thursday dismissed reports appearing in a section of the media alleging that the ministry had a secret fund of Rs 4 billion at its disposal.
The spokesman said some elements were trying to mislead the public by depicting the whole budget of the ministry as secret fund. In fact, the total budget allocated to the ministry in the financial year 2012-13 was Rs 5.57 billion, which included salaries, allowances and other expenditures for a number of its departments, the spokesman said. app
