SLGO 2012 a conspiracy against Sindh: PTI
KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh President Sardar Nadir Akmal Khan Leghari on Friday termed Sindh Local Government Ordinance, 2012 as a conspiracy to divide Sindh citizens, saying that his party would resist the ‘anti-people’ ordinance.He expressed these views, while talking to his party’s provincial office bearers on the occasion of a meeting held Friday to review the recent developments with regard to local government system.Speaking on the occasion, he said that the ruling regime was insulting the people of Sindh, promoting its own vested interests and seeking illegal extension in powers. He further said that with such illogical measures, the government was making fun of the constitution and law.He further said that the present government was attempting to escape from the general elections by playing nefarious tactics. He said that political appointments of administrators and dual local bodies system would pave way for tempering general elections and imposing influence in results of elections.Commenting over the recent stand of Awami National Party, Leghari, said that ANP has been hands in gloves with Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement for about four years, adding that now it was trying to disguise masses with such statementsHe vowed that the PTI would continue its struggle for the rights of masses. PTI Sindh General Secretary Syed Hafeez Uddin Advocate, PTI Karachi President Ashraf Qureshi and other leaders including Subhan Ali Sahil were present in the meeting. staff report
