Japanese training ship in Karachi for 5 days
KARACHI: Japanese Maritime Self Defence Forces (JMSDF) training ship JS Kashima, led by Squadron Commander Rear Admiral Hidetoshi Fuchinoue, is on an official five-day visit to Karachi.
During their visit, the rear admiral along with officers and sailors of the ship also laid floral wreath at the Quaid’s mausoleum.
Later, Fuchinoue called on the naval administration authorities and discussed matters pertaining to operations and training. Regional maritime security situation was also discussed.
The Japanese naval delegation also met with the members of the Japanese community in the metropolis. The Japanese naval cadets visited Pakistan Naval Academy and other PN units in Karachi. The JS Kashima will depart Karachi today (Sunday). While enroute, the visiting ship will also hold a passage exercise with Pakistan Navy ships. pr
