Arsalan case probe begins today
ISLAMABAD: The one-man commission of Shoaib Suddle formed to probe the Arsalan Iftikhar case would begin its work today (Monday), while real estate tycoon Malik Riaz will file a review plea in the Supreme Court over the formation of the commission.
Former Sindh Police IG Shoaib Suddle has acquired all the record of the case from the Supreme Court and National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The media will be allowed to cover the proceedings of the commission. According to sources, Zahid Bukhari, counsel for Malik Riaz, has prepared draft of the review plea to be submitted to the Supreme Court. The review petition adopts the plea that formation of the commission is unconstitutional and violates the basic rights of Malik Riaz. According to Zahid Bukhari, the impartiality of the one-member commission was doubtful as Suddle had family relations with Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. inp
