CJ refuses to meet UN mission on missing persons
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Tuesday refused to meet the UN delegation investigating enforced disappearances, saying that the matter is subjudice, Geo News reported.
Sources said that the foreign ministry in a memo to CJ informed that the UN delegation wants to meet him, while the Supreme Court office in reply said that this issue was under hearing of the court, therefore, debating on a subjudiced matter would not be appropriate.
Meanwhile, the UN delegation Tuesday visited Islamabad High Court and had some important interactions over there. The court office refrained from giving any detail in this connection.
