PTI sent two names for caretaker prime minister: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) had sent two names for the caretaker prime minister but later backtracked.

According to the Nisar, the PTI had put forward the names of Shoaib Suddle and Razaq Dawood. The claim made by Nisar was dismissed by the PTI, as the party’s Information Secretary Shaqat Mahmood while speaking to Geo News said no names had been sent.

Nisar who was speaking to the media outside the National Assembly said that seven names had been shortlisted for caretaker prime minister and these were being discussed with other opposition parties.

The opposition leader revealed that two former Supreme Court judges, one representative from the lawyers’ community and four politicians were on the list.
