PCNS expresses concern over UN mission's arrival

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) was held under the chairmanship of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani to discuss the issue of missing persons in Balochistan Thursday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, the committee expressed its concern over the arrival of United Nations (UN) Working Group on Enforced Disappearances (WGEID) in Pakistan.

Talking to the media after the meeting, Chairman PCNS Raza Rabbani told that the committee has summoned interior and foreign ministers in the next meeting.

He said that the committee was apprised about the aims and objectives of the UN’s mission in Pakistan and who invited the mission here.

Raza Rabbani continued saying that the committee’s recommendations could not be finalized due to the absence of some members, however, there is no pressure over the committee regarding the recommendations.
