PTI to bring new LG system: Imran
CHITRAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said the PTI tsunami would create a new Pakistan, bring new local bodies system and purge the country of looters and swindlers.
Addressing a public meeting, Khan said, “Let me make it clear that no one can stem the PTI tsunami. We will create a new Pakistan and enforce a new local bodies system. We will cleanse the country of looters and force them out of the country.” Khan said the people of Pakistan were with the PTI tsunami and wanted change. He added if PTI came to power, its first priority would be to take the country out of the US war, which had been imposed on it.
“We will take a peace rally to South Waziristan accompanied by foreign journalists and human rights personnel. We will arrange their meetings with locals, who are being targeted by drone attacks, so they can realise the anguish the drones cause”, he remarked. The PTI chairman said around Rs 90 billion were being spent on the war on terror every month, yet there was no end in sight. Khan said PTI was not a family party but rather a party of the people. “We will award tickets to only those who are elected by party workers. Whosoever joins PTI will have to comply with the rules of the party and go along with us to create new Pakistan,” he said.
“I have come here after 11 years. I know how I have reached here. But I also know that neither President Zardari nor Nawaz Sharif can come here through the Chitral tunnel because the situation I have witnessed here is highly alarming. Some accident may occur at any time. staff report
