Anti-Islam film: PPP to participate in countrywide protests on Friday
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Wednesday that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will also participate in the protest demonstrations announced by different organizations and political parties on Friday against the anti-Islam movie, Geo News reported.
Talking to the media here today, Rehman Malik told the reporters that PPP has decided to join hands with the protesters against the blasphemous movie ridiculing our religion as the entire nation is united when it comes to the sanctity of last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
To a question related to security situation in Karachi, the minister said that a new wave of violence has hit the city. He told that the terrorists wanted to carry out attacks at the shopping centre but they could not do so due to the effective security arrangements made by the administration.
Responding to a question related to mobile service, Rehman Malik told that a joint strategy will be formulated after consulting with the relevant parties.
