Federal govt’s performance remained zero: Nawaz
* PML-N chief says inflation, unemployment, lawlessness and load shedding reflect incompetence of government

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday the federal government had given people nothing but despondency during its four-and-a-half year rule, adding that its performance had remained “absolutely zero”.
National issues such as inflation, unemployment, lawlessness and load shedding reflect incompetence and bad governance of the government, Nawaz Sharif said in a meeting with estranged PML-Q MNA Riaz Hussain Pirzada who expressed confidence in the leadership of the PML-N chief.
Nawaz Sharif said doors of the PML-N were open to all those “Muslim leaguers” who agree with the party agenda and programme. He said that the PML-N had achieved record development and prosperity for Pakistan during its previous governments. “After winning the forthcoming elections, the PML-N will begin its journey, which was cut short by a dictator in 1999, for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan,” he added.
Pirzada said that all “Muslim Leagues” would have to unite under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif for solidarity and survival of the country. He said the people of Pakistan are fed up with policies of the present government and they are looking towards the PML-N chief for solution to their problems.
Pirzada presented various proposals to Nawaz Sharif for the development and rights of people of southern Punjab. Pirzada had separated himself from the PML-Q following a controversy over some issues with party leaders.
According to sources, Pirzada has decided to join the PML-N and contest the forthcoming general elections from its platform “but he will not make a formal announcement in this regard because he does not want to quit his seat”.Courtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
