Blasphemous film is condemnable, will not be tolerated: Farzana Raja

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Farzana Raja condemned the blasphemous film made in United States, and said that such acts of denigration would not be tolerated.

“All the nations need to understand and disseminate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to seek guidance for creating harmony and peace in the world,” she said while talking to a group of media persons on the Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool (PBUH).

Farzana said the blasphemous film would cause harm to inter-faith harmony. “Such unethical and shameful move was an illegitimate use of freedom of speech,” she added.

The BISP chairperson said that Islam was a religion of love, safety, peace, tolerance and harmony. The life of holy Prophet (PBUH) was a guideline and example for a believer as well as whole humanity, she added.

Farzana, while emphasising on the need of peaceful protests, said that protest was everybody’s right but causing damage to the lives and properties of fellow Muslims would only serve Zionists’ agenda which should be avoided.

She said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a blessing for the humankind. Farzana urged the United States to stop release of the blasphemous movie, warning it could bring more disastrous response as no Muslim would ever tolerate such disgraceful act of profanity against the holy Prophet (PBUH). pr
