Imran links tranparent vote to remedy for all ills
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan Saturday said his party has to ensure holding of general elections in the country, linking a transparent vote to the remedy for all ills.
Addressing the party workers, Imran Khan observed that prices of petroleum products in Pakistan were higher than those of India and Bangladesh.
He said PML-N leader Ishaq Dar's son had owned a car worth Rs150 million car. "These are the people who don't pay tax," he alleged.
On the other hand, he said, there is government that is misusing the remittances being sent by overseas Pakistanis.
He said it was strange that in order to retire debt, the government goes to International Monetary Fund (IMF) and obtains more loans.
Criticising the US policies, Imran Khan said the people that America had praised as Jihadis in the past, later went ahead and labeled them as terrorists.
"Our Prophet (PBUH) presented the concept of a welfare state but we failed to implement it," he regretted.
