NWA operation to have severe backlash in country: DCP
BANNU: Chairman Defence Council of Pakistan (DCP), Maulana Samiul Haq cautioned that the entire country would face a severe backlash in case a military operation is launched in North Waziristan.
Addressing a group of notables from North and South Waziristan here, Maulana Samiul Haq maintained that the US did not peace in tribal areas of Pakistan and 'our leaders are always ready to follow its each and every dictate'.
Amir Jamat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hassan on the occasion said if anybody has a doubt whether the people of tribal areas are patriots or not then 'I would say that nobody in the country is patriot'.
He said the damage done to the North and Sourt Waziristan needed to be compensated.
Gen (Retd) Hamid Gul said he had gone to a court with a case against drone attacks in Pakistan but the court ruled against it.
