Nisar presents Karachi law, order report to PM Nawaz
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday presented a report on Karachi law and order to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Geo News reported.
Chaudhry Nisar presented the report to PM Nawaz Sharif in a meeting held here at the Prime Minister House. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif was also present in the meeting.
Sources said it was decided that the federation will provide all possible assistance to the provincial government, adding that the provincial government will command the targeted operation.
The meeting also decided to summon the names of proposed committee that will monitor the proposed operation.
The federal government will perform the task in light of the constitution in order to avoid any criticism, the sources added.
The meeting also deliberated on the visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the various areas of the port city to ascertain the ground realities.
