PM Nawaz vows to restore peace in Karachi
KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that bringing peace in Karachi was vital for the economic development of Pakistan, which was possible through commitment, dedication and hard work.
Speaking to traders, Sharif said that Pakistan was faced with multiple challenges including the menace of terrorism. “I will make Karachi a peaceful city, as a prime minister it is not possible for me to disassociate myself from problems,” he said and added it was incumbent upon him to solve any problem that occurred in any part of the country.
He said that it was yet to be decided whether Rangers or police would carry out the operation.
“We will have to stand together if we have to bring peace in Karachi,” Nawaz Sharif said, adding that he had already told media at the Quaid’s mausoleum that he respected mandate of the MQM and the PPP.
