PAF first line of defence: air chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of the Air Staff Tahir Rafique Butt said on Wednesday that the PAF was the first line of physical defence.
He said this while visiting an operational base of the PAF. Upon his arrival Tahir Rafique was presented with a guard of honour.
The visit was undertaken with a purpose to assess the operational readiness and morale of the airmen.
During the visit, the air chief visited different squadrons and installations and was also briefed on the developmental projects currently in progress at the base.
The air chief interacted with the airmen and appreciated their level of motivation in performing the assigned tasks. He said that safety and maintenance of the precious state-of-the-art equipment was “our collective responsibility and this could be achieved through concerted training, thorough knowledge and following the procedures religiously”.
