Imran Khan satisfied over meetings with PM, Army Chief

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan has expressed satisfaction over the convening of All Parties Conference (APC) and his meetings with the Prime Minister and the Army Chief.

In a statement following the moot on Monday, Imran Khan termed the communiqué issued at the conclusion of the joint sitting as the first step towards what he said the dissociation from the US-led war on terror and the formation of a national anti-terrorism policy.

He said the APC resolution reflects the PTI’s counter-terrorism strategy. “PTI has always stressed the policy of giving peace a chance and detaching ourselves from the US-led war,” he added.

The PTI Chief said the plan to raise the issue of drones before the United Nations (UN) is a significant part of the overall strategy.

Imran said he made it clear in his meeting with the Prime Minister and Army Chief General Kayani that sending the troops to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was a flawed decision.

He hoped that soon a joint counter-terrorism strategy would be devised.
