Karachi: Police arrest several suspects during search operationKARACHI: Police, during search operation in different areas of the metropolis, arrested several suspects and recovered arms from their possession, Geo News reported Wednesday.
SSP East Imran Shaukat said heavy contingent of police, including commandos, conducted targeted operation in Rabia City, Gulistan-e-Johar, Perfume Chowk and Malir on the information about presence of the suspects in these areas.
Police recovered fake number plates of government vehicles and seized arms. Police had the lists of wanted suspects during the operation. Some of the arrested persons belong to political parties.
Police conducted search operation at the residential flats near Perfume Chowk, however, no one was arrested.
Meanwhile, police also launched search operation in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth area of Malir and arrested several suspects while ammunition was also recovered.
