Balochistan issue needs political solution: CM
ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Maalick Baloch has declared the Balochistan issue as a political one and sought political solution for existing crisis in the province.
Talking to media at Balochistan House on Friday, he criticised endeavours to resolve the issue with force, while all religious and political parties would have to play their due role to resolve these political issues.
Dr Maalick expressed his full resolve for cooperation of federal government with Balochistan government, and concerns about massive exodus of Baloch community from their land, while Balochistan government strived for their immediate rehabilitation in their lands.
He cited the dilemma of family of Akbar Bugti (late) as the biggest example of this issue, which was being accommodated in their ancestral lands.
Expressing his deep sorrow and grief over the barbarous killing of labour in Gwadar, and while strongly condemned the issue, said the labour were an integral force in progress and development of country.
He also berated corruption as something intolerable at any level, and stressed on rooting out the evil in better interests and development of the province.
The chief minister cited an increase of provincial educational and health budget by 9% from 2.9%, while also announcing establishment of three medical collages, six universities, 300 high schools, more than 300 middle schools, and scholarships for more than 10,000 children.
Replying to a question, he said law and order situation was better as compared to before, and stated that government was trying its best efforts to provide latest technology and training for security personnel, also assuring to discourage more transfers, appointments on political basis; while “previous postings, appointments made on political basis would be thoroughly investigated and rescinded”, he assured.
He also assured to bring back all looted and laundered wealth back to national exchequer. online
