PIA flight diverted to save passenger

KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-775 from Islamabad to Leeds-Bradford (UK) was diverted to Ashkabad (Turkmenistan) on Saturday to save a passenger who suffered from a heart problem during the flight. A PIA spokesman said the airline’s managing director directed the flight’s captain to land at the nearest location. He said the passenger was sent to a hospital under the supervision of Pakistan Embassy officials. After refuelling, the plane took off for its destination, the PIA spokesman said. app
