Imran calls for ceasefire to hold talks with militants
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has expressed grief and sorrow over the killing of a two-star general of Pakistan army, a senior officer and a soldier in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack claimed by the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Upper Dir.
Imran Khan defending his stance of holding talks with the militants said that the country has been fighting the war on terror for the last nine years, adding that the issue could be resolved by holding negotiations.
The PTI chief called for ceasefire as a first step of holding peace talks.
He further said that enemies do not want the state of Pakistan to hold conclusive peace talks with the militants.
