MQM walk out of NA over activists' arrest
ISLAMABAD: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members of National Assembly (MNAs) on Thursday staged a walkout from the National Assembly against the arrest of party activists in Karachi, Geo News reported.
MQM MNA Asif Hasnain said that the operation in Karachi was being conducted against his party as the same happened in the past. He said that the weapons are available only in 15 pc area of the city, where he added, law enforcers hesitate to go.
He further said that his party's mandate should be respected and demanded an immediate release of MQM workers.
MQM leader Rasheed Godail asked the government to stop land grabbers, target killers and extortionists for restoration of peace in Karachi, adding that it was necessary to figure out that who is sabotaging the governments' effort in this connection.
