PM, Shah discuss NAB chairman appointment
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah to discuss the appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB)chairman.
During the meeting, Shah proposed the name of Mian Muhamamd Ajmal for the post. Speaking to Geo News, Khursheed Shah said the prime minister did not propose any name for the NAB chairman.
Mian Muhammad Ajmal is a former judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The prime minister and opposition leader will meet again on Saturday and it is expected that consensus will be made on the appointment of NAB chairman.
Talks with the Taliban were also discussed during the meeting. According to Shah, the prime minister had not given anyone the responsibility to hold talks with the Taliban.
