Imran Khan wants process of peace talks to continue

MIANWALI: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that the security forces have been fighting a war with the Taliban for the last 9 years, claiming that if they continue the same for more nine years then the result would not be any different.

The PTI chief visited the residence of Major General Sanaullah Niazi, who embraced martyrdom in an IED attack at his convoy in Upper Dir, and offered condolence to the family members of the martyred two-star general. Khan also laid wreath at Sanaullah's grave and offered Fateha.

On the occasion, Imran Khan stressed upon the continuation of dialogue process with the Taliban, saying the purpose of holding All Parties Conference (APC) was to build consensus on initiating peace talks.

He said the attack on Peshawar Church is not a failure of the provincial government, adding that 172 terrorist attacks had occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the five-year term of Awami National Party (ANP).
