KP police allowed access to mobile call data

PESHAWAR: Inspector General Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said Thursday that the police had been given permission to access the data of mobile phone calls.

Speaking to Geo News, IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani said further legislation was required to tackle terrorism in the province. He added that CCTV cameras would be installed in Peshawar and other parts of the province with the help of communities.

According to Durrani additional sniffer dogs would be used to find explosive material. The police chief added that foreign Jihadis were present in the province.
