Stakeholders advised to take a middle course: Sirajul Haq
HALA: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq Sunday said the stakeholders had been recommended to take a middle course to defuse the tense political situation in the country.
Talking to media persons at the residence of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Amin Faheem, the JI chief said the three parties – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) – had so far come up with no response.
He underscored for all the institutions to function within their constitutional domains and called upon the government to exhibit a greater level of flexibility and patience.
“In case of no constitution, it will become impossible to forge unity among provinces,” he warned.
On the occasion, PPP leader Amin Faheem expressed the hope that Sirajul Haq’s endeavours would succeed in resolving the deadlock.
He said although there was no restriction on processions and rallies, yet needs to be worked out for the present political crisis.
Amin Faheem said it won’t be appropriate to call the sit-ins an aimless exercise, adding, whatever happens should be within the parameters of the constitution.
