Pakistani journalist released in Afghanistan
PESHAWAR: Pakistani journalist Faizullah has been released in Jalalabad and is expected to return home soon. He was arrested by Afghan authorities in April this year for travelling without documents.
Journalists across Pakistan had been protesting for Faizullah’s release while Saleem Safi played a role in establishing contacts and securing a commitment from Afghan authorities for his release.
Faizullah had been sentenced to four years in prison by a local court for entering the country illegally.
