Mamnoon to attend swearing in of new Afghan president

ISLAMABAD - On the official invitation from Afghanistan, President Mamnoon Hussain would be visiting Kabul on Monday, to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the new president of Afghanistan.
Pakistan has congratulated the Afghan people and leadership on the signing of the agreement on government of national unity and completion of the electoral process.
The president’s participation in the inauguration ceremony underscores Pakistan’s consistent support for peaceful democratic transition in Afghanistan. The visit would also contribute to strengthening the fraternal ties between the two countries.
