Aware of problems in system: PM Nawaz
LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that the government was aware of problems in the system and would work towards eliminating them.
Speaking to reporters outside his London residence, Prime Minister Sharif said those holding sit-ins tried to disrupt development in the country. The prime minister added that despite the protests in Islamabad the government would continue with its work.
In response to a question over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s slogan to change the system, the prime minister said eliminating problems in the system was part of their agenda.
When asked about involving the judiciary in efforts to topple the government, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif replied that this would not happen. According to the prime minister, even the courts had expressed their thoughts over those holding these sit-ins.
The prime minister further said his address at the United Nations was part of his commitment to Kashmiris and he represented the emotions of people.
