Aitzaz sees sit-ins brought only change ‘Go Nawaz GO’ slogan in Pakistan

LAHORE – Leader of the Opposition in Senate Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Monday advised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to avoid public exposure, arguing that 'Go Nawaz Go' slogan emerges whenever they were seen in public.
Talking to journalists outside the Lahore High Court Bar office, he said that he saw a change in Pakistan only in ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan as change could not be brought through sit-ins by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
The PPP leader said that Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had been a big business party, while the PPP represents the working class. He said that the PML-N policies were against the poor and downtrodden masses, while the PPP makes policies to protect poor Pakistani.
He said that the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took a wise decision of seeking apology from the party worker over mistakes. To a question, Aitzaz said that he didn’t want to respond to any utterance of Awami Muslim league (AML) chief Shaikh Rasheed who remained minister in each government.
He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was initially saying that he would not offer even a peon's job to Shaikh Rasheed, while now he was his aide and adviser. He said that the sit-ins seem posing no threat to the government.
